 Title: Through Rose-Colored Glass
Part: 5/?
Rating: PG-13 (subject to change in future)
Pairings: Aeris/Sephiroth, Aeris/Zack
Summary: Aeris contemplates her connection to the planet...

The gardens that Aeris tended kept her busy enough. She loved the smell of the earth and the way the little seeds she planted struggled to grow in the polluted soil of Midgar. )

Title: Favorite Song
Fandom: FFVII
Character/Pairing/Group: Sephiroth/Aeris
Rating: G
Warning/s: None.
Table: 20
Prompt: 9
Word Count: 245
Summary: This a drabble, I guess, of Sephiroth thinking about Aeris. It's written in 1st person, which a style I don't usually do. The more I get into this, the longer they'll get, methinks. Oh, there's spoilers for anyone who has not played FF7. Who hasn't these days? Oh well... just thought I should note that in there.
Disclaimer: I do not own FFVII or anything related to it.

Her heartbeat plays a song I never tire of.... )

Title: Through Rose-Colored Glass
Part: 3/?
Rating: PG-13 (subject to change in future)
Pairings: Aeris/Sephiroth
Summary: Sephiroth contemplates on his rise through Shinra and the way people treat him

------

"You guys won't believe this!"

There were curious stares and a few mumbled 'whats' as the man bounced up and down, waving his arms like a mad man. "Chloe, the new receptionist in the lobby, threw herself at Sephiroth today!"

"What!?" Sounds of astonishment and appreciation floated through the room. "She's hot. Damn the General's lucky to be getting all that ass for free!"

"But the General turned her down. Said he wasn't interested in someone like her."

"What!? Is he gay?"

The man who came to deliver the news remained oddly quiet. His silence meant consent. The others, upon realizing this, roared in laughter. Their leader was a fairy.

Rumors abounded in regards to the General's personal life. Though he remained unaffected by the rumors because he knew no one, no one, would dare say it to his face. The other SOLDIERs pass the time every now and then by making bets. Who had the balls to tell the General how they really felt?  No one took that particular bet though there were a few brave souls would at least muster up enough courage to walk up to him. But one glare from him and the SOLDIER would run off.

Though Sephiroth had never been treated too kindly by Shinra, things changed after he made SOLDIER. It was as if President Shinra purposely went out of his way to accomodate Sephiroth. Perhaps it was a feeling of guilt or maybe just something along the lines of keeping his ace card happy - whatever the reason, it certainly made people look at Sephiroth differently. There was always a tinge of fear mixed with respect. So many people wanted to be like him, especially after the Wutain war.  It was actually confusing.

And there were women who hoped to warm his bed but Sephiroth turned them all away simply because they were far too shallow for him to ever share a part of himself with. Those women who propositioned him only wanted the prestige that came with being able to say, "I date General Sephiroth." Indeed, the war had brought him fame beyond his belief.

When he thought about being with women, he found his stomach twisted in several knots. He knew that many other SOLDIERs... and well men in general... jumped from relationship to relationship. But Sephiroth was not like that. He had no desire to have someone else's left over. The point of human companionship was to provide security and warmth. Sephiroth would not find it with those women and he did not need to "get off" as he heard other SOLDIERs mention.

Sephiroth merely existed when he was not working. He rarely slept, rarely ate, rarely spoke. He would keep to himself, in his quarters, and read until he fell asleep. Sephiroth thrived on knowledge. He thrived on knowing what was happening all around him. Sephiroth knew of the rumors about himself and others. He knew most of Shinra's plans though there were quite a few things even he could not find out about, most of which centered around Hojo, the current scientist in charge of the Scientific Research Department, and his work.

All these thoughts crossed his mind as stood outside the door of the mess hall. Sephiroth was hungry but really only wanted something to snack on. He thought a salad might be nice but because he did not wish to leave the Shinra building, he decided to go the the mess hall, place his order, and go back to his quarters. It was meant to be a relatively simple and painless mission.

He stepped inside and almost at once everyone noticed him. Those lower in rank immediately stood to salute him. Sephiroth nodded and they all sat back down, watching and whispering amongst themselves. He would never understand the fascination people had with him.

Sephiroth was only human, after all. Wasn't he?

Okay, so I figured out how to add links. Yes, yes, I'm a genius I realize that. No seriously, I had no idea Live Journal was so completed. Many years ago in the prime of my youth, I used to sit down and design websites. I had the patience for it. But now, with bills visiting every month and a 2 year old driving me up the world, I like stuff quick, easy, and simple.

Next time, I'm going to try uploading a different mood theme. (^_^)
